JLS poised for the top in 2010
8th January 2010
The boys of JLS are poised for massive success in 2010 – and they are looking to scale new heights. That means they’ll be working as hard as ever to maintain the same level of achievement in the new year. Already Aston, JB, Marvin and Oritse have two headlining tours planned; the first begins this month and by the time their arena tour of the UK rolls around they hope to have released their second album.
In an end-of-the-year interview with the Daily Star, Marvin explained his role in JLS: “I would say I am the bossiest as far as getting to places on time and working hard and stuff. The best thing about the four of us is that we are all on the same page. We are all so driven and determined and very focused. We all complement each other. We all know what we’ve got to do and we all work very hard.”
If the band’s success in 2009 is any indication, the foursome is sure to create quite a sensation this year. Already JLS have plans to head back into the studio during the next few months, with hopes of releasing a few singles and another album by next November. That way, Marvin says, the band will be performing new material for their end-of-the-year arena sweep of the UK.
Of the upcoming year Marvin promised that the boys will be working hard to expand their horizons.
“I don’t know if we have a mission statement [for 2010] but I think for me and the boys it’s just about maintaining what we have now,” he told the Daily Star. “Always exceed expectations and always make things bigger and better. Ideally we wanna have a bigger-selling single with our next release. That’s always a goal.”
