3 Brit Award nods for JLS
19th January 2010
It looks as if it will be another success-filled year for Aston, JB, Marvin and Oritse. Already the boys have been nominated for three Brit Awards; JLS are contending for British Breakthrough Act, British Single and Best British Group.
Both the awards for British Breakthrough Act and British Single are voted upon by the public, and with the massive amount of support JLS fans are known to provide, many think that the boys will sweep these categories on February 16.
Since rounding off 2009 with two No. 1 singles, a No. 1 debut album and two MOBO awards, the boys have found that their success attracts quite a complex crowd.
Marvin told the Daily Star: “I do find it difficult to trust people. You have to have the attitude of being wary about people but I am a trusting person and I think you need a reason not to trust them. You can’t live your life being paranoid.
“We have lots of new people coming into our lives every day and you do have to assess why they want to be friends as we’re in an industry where that is natural.
“You just need to be aware of who your friends are but also give people a chance as well.”
The boys kick off their first headlining tour of the UK on January 26 in Rhyl, north Wales, but they’ve already returned to the studio to plan their second album, and will continue to work on it throughout their tour.
This December will see an arena tour from JLS, who proved they were ready for such a massive outing when their first headlining tour sold out in a matter of hours.
